Proposal: An October view near Whitchurch Canonicorum 150x50cm v.2Oil on canvas150 x 50 cm+
This proposal is partly inspired by a commission I made near Whitchurch Canonicorum. Having already made two of these paintings, it's not a task I approach lightly! But, for me, this view really captures so many of the qualities of tradiational landscape painting that I love, from the Dutch 17th Century painters, to the European Romantics, as well as the American Hudson School painters.
